Day 1: Arrival day - Kathmandu - 1400 meters
You will be welcomed and received on your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu. You will then be transferred and checked into the yoga centre. The trip briefing will take place at some time in the evening. You will be informed about the briefing time on your arrival by the representative.
Day 2: Kathmandu - Yoga class and drive to Pokhara: 900 meters - breakfast and dinner
You will take breakfast after yoga class and check out the hotel to go to Pokhara. A seven-hour drive by tourist bus takes you to the amazingly beautiful city of Pokhara 200 kilometres west of Kathmandu. The drive is very scenic which goes through the winding and stretching road alongside the famous rafting river of Trishuli and later on Marsyangdi.
Passing through some beautiful small Nepali towns will give you some glimpses of the countryside of Nepal. Stay in the hotel and have evening meditation and dinner. Approximate distance - 200 kilometres; approximate travel duration- seven hours.
Day 3: Pokhara 900 meters - Tikhedhunga 1527 meters - breakfast/lunch/dinner
You will take breakfast after yoga class and get ready to drive from Pokhara to Nayapul which is about 1.5 hours drive and eventually trek to Tikhedhunga on a nice dirt road alongside a beautiful river stream.
The beginning of the trek gives you glimpses of the Himalayan peaks but for the rest of the day, you will enjoy the beauty of green mountain surroundings and local villages. Approximate distance - 14 kilometres; approximate trekking duration - five hours. You will spend the night at a comfortable guest house (called the tea house) at 1527 meters and evening meditation and dinner.
Day 4: Tikhedhunga - Ghorepani 2810 meters - breakfast/lunch/dinner
After breakfast at the tea house, you will start the trek of the day. Probably, the most difficult day of the trek given that the trail goes only higher in elevation. The first part of the trek is a steep upward walk for about two hours and then a gradual upward walk.
The walk on the stone-paved steps is a daring adventure early in the morning. The whole trail leads you through villages and forests to Ghorepani where your efforts will be rewarded with magnificent close-up views of the Himalayas (given the weather is clear).
Approximate distance - 18 kilometres. Approximate trekking duration - seven hours. You will stay the night at a guest house at 2810 meters and have evening meditation and dinner.
Day 5: Ghorepani - Poon Hill 3210 meters - Tadapani 2700 meters - breakfast/lunch/dinner
Early morning hike to Poon Hill, the highlight of the trip, about 1.5 hours, to see the spectacular sunrise and the views of 10 different peaks. You will trek back to Ghorepani for the breakfast.
After enjoying the second mountain breakfast, you will trek to Tadapani, another great place to take in close up views of the Himalayas. It is a pleasant walk through a lush green forest. Eventually, you will stay the night at a guest house at 2700 meters and have evening meditation and dinner. Approximate distance - 14 kilometres; approximate trekking duration - six hours.
Day 6: Tadapani 2700 meters trek to Jhinu - breakfast/lunch/dinner
You are craving yet another six hours of a walk today. Today’s walk takes you through beautiful mountain civilizations and some forested areas. You will also admire the meditative sound of the flowing river that we come across the trail.
When you reach today’s destination, Jhinu, you will take a short relaxing break and then get ready to go to take a refreshing natural hot spring bath. You will stay the night at a guest house at 2700 meters. And evening meditation and dinner. Approximate distance - 10 kilometres; approximate duration - six hours.
Day 07: Jhinu - Pokhara - breakfast/lunch
The last day of the trek in the mountain is also no less interesting than other days. After four hours of a beautiful scenic walk, you will take a jeep ride to Nayapul and another ride to Pokhara. Stay in Pokhara and evening meditation class.
Day 8: Pokhara exploration day - breakfast
Today is the day to explore Pokhara. You will go boating on the lake and visit a temple in the middle of the lake. You will have free time to enjoy the beauty of Pokhara. You can take relaxing massage, spa treatment, and also adventure activities like Paragliding, ultralight flights, zip flyer, and more at an extra cost. Stay in Pokhara hotel and evening meditation class.
Day 9: Pokhara - Kathmandu - breakfast/dinner
You will drive back to Kathmandu today after breakfast. It will take about seven hours to reach Kathmandu. You can fly back at an extra cost.
Day 10: Departure day - breakfast
Today is the last day of the Nepal Yoga Trek, so Himalayan Yoga Academy will transfer you to the airport for the departure or to the city.
