The venue
During the yoga teacher training course, you will be staying in clean rooms at Rishikesh Yog Nirvana Yoga School. The school is situated in the mountains of Rishikesh. It has a yoga studio, dining area, chill-out zones, a beautiful rooftop, and free Wi-Fi.

The local market is 300 to 400 meters far from the yoga school. Rishikesh Yog Nirvana offers private and shared rooms according to the student's requirements. Clean bedsheets, pillows, bath towels, toilet paper, and blankets will be provided.

Food
You will be served three yogic and nutritious meals daily. The school prepares healthy and yummy food, as well as shares ideas while cooking in a cosy environment. They have lots of good ingredients such as fresh vegetables, salads, fresh fruits, juices, and so much more.

Students who complete the training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).

Curriculum
  • 6 types of Satkarma (body cleansing) for awakening the chakras
  • 6 types of meditation techniques
  • 6 types of pranayama with specific angles related to chakras
  • Story of postures with their Sanskrit names
  • Anatomy - Physiology of yoga poses, meditation, pranayama, and body cleansing related to chakras
  • Study of yoga asanas with alignment, variations, modifications, adjustments with details about chakras
  • Mantra chanting with musical instruments
  • Vedic tradition of yoga and its diets

Yoga postures
  • Warm-up postures
Warm-up poses include little movements of the various body parts and are very useful to improve flexibility without getting any injury. So with a good warm-up, one can achieve intermediate and advanced poses easily.

  • Surya Namaskar (Sun salutation)
No yoga practice is complete without Surya Namaskar. It’s a whole-body stretching practice. With the traditional style of Surya Namskar, you salute the sun and feel energetic like the sun.

  • Hip openers
Many people suffer from stiff hip muscles, for them, hip opener exercises are very useful.

  • Standing postures
Standing postures increase the strength of the body and tone the leg and hip muscles which makes them strong.

  • Sitting postures
Sitting postures improve the blood circulation around the hips, spine, and shoulders, increase flexibility and help to keep joints and ligaments much more flexible.

  • Back bending postures
Back bending postures stretch the front body to a great extent and increase the blood circulation in the spine and make it more flexible.

  • Forward bending postures
Forward bending stretch the back of the body and tone the belly.

  • Twisting postures
Twisting poses work on hip muscles and increase the blood circulation around the spine.

  • Inverted postures
Inverted poses calm the mind and increase the blood circulation inside the whole body

Excursions
There will be two Sunday excursions.

A calm and composed soul living his life in a yogic way. Having a master's degree in yoga, he chose meditation and Yoga philosophy because he always wanted to be a calm and composed person. He has a good strong texture of voice, which certainly makes the environment holy when he chants the mantras. He believes as we all are running behind the materialistic world, we are getting more and more stressed and depressed and we need to change this. He teaches some beautiful meditation techniques that help people to let go of all the negativity they are carrying inside.
