The training will take place in Sant Vicent del Raspeig, Alicante, Spain. La Casa Shambala’s venue in Alicante is based at Amalur. They hope to welcome you to Amalur, their dream come true, a space where their brothers and sisters can find their way back home. They call themselves Amalur, which means Mother Earth in the Basque language because they firmly believe in the power of medicine that is the Earth through its plants, sounds, living beings, and phenomena.

Amalur is the creation of Sara and Sergio, who have embarked on this wonderful adventure of Being the Guardians of Amalur, the beautiful Temple of Transformation. This is a space for anyone who wants to go beyond surviving in life and is ready to start living. Here and now. Only by recognizing the perfection of the present moment through the real food of Mother Earth, the medicine of meditation, yoga, and inner work.

Feel the energy of this place and surround yourself with teachers and friends who will accompany you to a new perception of your existence. This land is sacred for each of the beings who have come here to leave behind what no longer serves them. Come be part of the family and a joint project to help Mother Earth by making you responsible and more aware, connecting with your true essence.

The venue
The accommodation for this course is in dormitory-style rooms. There are three dormitories with bunks. The rooms are light and spacious, with shared bathrooms and showers.

Food
During the training, you will be served three delicious organic and vegan meals per day except for days off and drinking water is included in the price. At Amalur Madre Tierra, they are lovers of good food. For this reason, it is one of the fundamental pillars of their philosophy. They want your experience with food to inspire you by acquiring a new awareness and expanding the concept that less is always more. Their goal is that you enjoy the flavours, textures, and variety of a completely balanced real diet without the need to eat animals, dairy, sugars, processed and refined foods.

It is not about eating less but eating better. The cuisine is vegetarian and ecological. They cook with Titanium kitchenware so as not to contaminate food with heavy metals. In addition, they cook with filtered Kangen water, which is alkaline, microstructured, and antioxidant water. It is the same water that they use for infusions and for drinking. Love and music are two of the most important ingredients. Here, they cook with love so that you eat with consciousness, uniting, and aligning the process and work that is carried out at Amalur.

Converting this synergistic act into a prayer full of good intentions, connecting you with nature through food, thus its magic enriches your body and nourishes your souls. The only meal they serve on the first day is dinner and breakfast on the last day of the course. On days off, you are self-catered and can find food in local shops and restaurants. Access to the kitchen is available on these days.

If you have special dietary requirements it's a good idea to communicate them to the organiser when making a reservation

La Casa Shambala is a family, and as a family, they have created a story with hundreds of students, volunteers, teachers, and staff members. This story is built on each individual’s experience of walking along a path toward your true essence through the practice of yoga in all its forms. The curriculum and philosophy are focused on traditional Hatha yoga. As you will learn during the course, Hatha yoga is a way of approaching life, and the asana practice is only one of the eight limbs of the Hatha philosophy.

You will learn how to integrate the empathetic and spiritual practice of Hatha into your life, learning how to exist in the spiritual world and the modern-day world you are all accustomed to. Vinyasa is a more modern form of yoga that comes from the Hatha asana practice. Vinyasa focuses on using breath with movement, harmonizing each movement in the yoga flow with an inhale or an exhale.

No two Vinyasa classes are the same and they will teach you how to sequence beautiful Vinyasa flows that will embody your unique teaching style. Besides teaching the Hatha philosophy, this course also puts a focus on teaching traditional Ayurveda; the ayurvedic diet, learning about your Ayurvedic profile (the doshas), using Ayurveda for preventative health and wellness. As a yoga teacher, it is important to understand the human anatomy and how yoga influences your body on an anatomical level.

This course teaches anatomy from a more traditional biological standpoint as well as the conjunction between yogic philosophy and biological principles. This is so that students can understand on a biological level, why a yoga asana practice makes you feel better. Your yoga asana classes are traditional Hatha, Yin or Restorative yoga, and Vinyasa. Students will finish the course with knowledge in teaching all three varieties of yoga classes.
