Nepal Yoga Home is a retreat and accommodation facility located just outside of Kathmandu with sweeping views over the Kathmandu Valley. Rooms are quiet and peaceful with nets. There are also rooms for yoga and other workshops. One can relax or meditate in the open garden. The venue is lush, attached to the Nagarjun jungle with a garden plentiful with organic fruits and vegetables.

Program

This 21-day retreat is designed to provide a strong and cohesive foundation to a yogic lifestyle. Through a consistent and rigorous program, learn over 50 yoga postures and a wide variety of meditation styles and breathing techniques. Gain insight to yoga philosophy, Shatkarma (cleansing techniques), chakra cleansing and meditations, and awareness and concentration methodologies. Start each day with an early morning asana practice followed by breakfast, an opportunity for self-practice, and meditation and relaxation. Enjoy some time to sightsee or relax before moving into the afternoon and evening stretching and breathing sessions, followed by yoga philosophy and chanting. 

Our sample daily schedule includes:
  • It will change based on the topic, teacher, climate and different conditions.
  • 7.30 to 8.30 am-Yoga Asanas (Yoga Posture)
  • 8.30 to 9.30 am- Breakfast
  • 9.30 to 10.30 am- Self-practice
  • 10.30 to 11.00 am- rest
  • 11.00 to 12.00 am- Relaxation and meditation
  • 12.00 to 2.00 am- Rest/ sightseeing( yourself)
  • 2.00 to 3.00 pm- Lunch
  • 3.00 to 4.00 pm- Rest
  • 4.00 to 5.00 pm- Stretching + breathing
  • 5.00  to 6.00 pm- Tea break
  • 6.00 to 7.00 pm- Yoga Philosophy/mantra chanting
  • 7.00 to 8.00 pm- Dinner
  • 8.00 pm- Time to be

Prakash Acharya:
Prakash
Prakash is a deeply experienced yoga teacher who embraces all aspects of a simple, yogic lifestyle. After completing his master's of science in yogic science and human consciousness, Prakash wanted to experience yoga and meditation from a different perspective. He spent many years practicing yoga and meditation in the jungle, Himalayas, caves, and ashrams. His teachings are centered around the idea of finding inner peace, which he calls "soul meditation." Named the Yoga Ambassador of Nepal, Prakash has helped many individuals find transformation through yoga, meditation, and soul healing, and also has trained thousands of students to become certified yoga teachers themselves.
