Optional activities
Exploring Amorgos Island
Amorgos island offers many opportunities to enjoy its natural beauty. There are over a dozen walking trails, with the most amazing views. Discover the authenticity of the island from the local villages. Visit Amorgian traditional houses, meet the locals and learn about the island’s unique customs.
By far one of the most unique experiences on the island is a visit to the Monastery of Hozoviotissa (which is included in the excursions). Located near the famous Agia Anna beach, this important Greek monument has great historical significance to the country as it is the second ever built church in Greece. Built 300m above sea level, the upward journey to the actual landmark provides a peaceful walk with breathtaking views of the Big Blue.
Amorgos has plenty of beautiful beaches, some of the most popular being Agia Anna, Agios Pavlos, Mouros and Aegiali. Whether you prefer sand or pebbles, everything is possible in Amorgos. You can swim in the crystal-clear water, or enjoy the beach life, relaxing on the sun loungers and under the beach umbrellas, which some of the beaches provide.
