Welcome to the Ultimate Wild Times. Five days of nature, yoga, walking, saunas, rest, reading, digital detox, nature workshops and the ocean. We have exclusive use of Fforest's beautiful, quiet coastal site, which is a short walk to beautiful Penbryn beach, the sea and a stunning coastline.

As we move into Autumn, October is the perfect time to reflect on the year as well as dream and plant seeds for the next, before the necessary darkness and deep rest of Winter. Give yourself five days of headspace by the sea, out of usual patterns and habits, to reflect, rest and create.

The main farmhouse has a cosy living room & wood-burning stove. The three double bedrooms provide cosy comfort with our beautiful Welsh blankets & cushions. There is one private, en-suite double bedroom and three private double bedrooms with use of a shared bathroom.

Our cosy cabins are light, warm and comfortable. There are 2 three bedroom cabins and 3 two bedroom cabins, a mix of twins and double rooms - all sharing a bathroom. They are grouped together in their own cluster with mature landscaping and terraces. 

All cabins feature an open plan kitchen, dining & living area, a bathroom with bath & overhead shower and a covered, decked terrace outside. They have wall heaters for the colder months. The living and sleeping spaces are finished with Welsh coldatnight woollen blankets and cushions. '

Food 
Our incredible chef Beth the Free Range Chef will be creating all of our delicious meals throughout the retreat.

Beth is our resident Wild Times chef, who creates culinary wonders in the kitchen with lots of vegetables, fruit, ancient grains and freshly baked goods. She is inspired by cuisines around the world, from Iran to Italy (via her home near Bath!) 

There will be fruit, snacks and a hot drink station for you to help yourself to throughout, with herbal teas, coffee, fresh mint, lemon and ginger. We can cater for dietary requirements if you let us know beforehand.

Program

The focus of this retreat is to deeply rest, restore and create as we transition into Autumn. There will be optional morning sea swims and sauna sessions, and lots of free time for reading, relaxing, napping and creating. We invite you to really disconnect from your devices during this retreat, in order to find more headspace and truly practice presence during the retreat.

There will be a couple of optional, nature-based workshops from some of our long-time Wild Times collaborators. We like to keep these a surprise but you can ask if you really want to know!

A beautiful National Trust beach and the stunning coastal path are just a ten-minute walk away, with a beautiful little cafe The Plump Tart on the way in case you ever need an extra piece of cake!

We can walk along the coastal path to a neighbouring village and explore a secret beach. Every morning there will be a 60/90 minute vinyasa yoga class, and in the evenings there will be a restorative yin and/or yoga Nidra session.

I believe in the healing, calming power of being outside. In 2020, after five years in the big smoke, I left to spend more time by the big sea. I love being in, on or by the sea, poetry, coffee outside, campfires and planning retreats, and adventures (and adventurous retreats). I am now based back in the New Forest, where I grew up.

I completed my first training 200-hour vinyasa teacher training with Emily-Clare Hill and Michael James Wong at the Frame Academy in 2017. I have since studied Yin & Ayurveda with The Yoga People, Assisting Techniques with Sunday School Yoga and trauma-informed yoga with Ourmala. I am a qualified BSUPA paddleboard instructor and Level 2 SUPTA paddleboard yoga teacher.

I love sharing the practice of yoga and any tools, techniques or little things that I have figured out along the way that can help others feel more connected to their bodies, to others and the world.
