Chia Lounge is part of the Nalanda resort in Goa, India, located on the beach of Mandrem, where you can enter straight from the resort and leave right onto the beach. They serve wholesome, healthy, and organic food and beverages for the conscious diner.

Yin Yoga Therapy Teacher Training's yoga holiday, retreat, and yoga training guests will be served delicious meals during their stay with them in their restaurant. In yoga and surfing, you play your sensations, each time awaiting a new invitation. You ride the edges of your poses with a gentle flowing breath like a surfer is riding the waves of the ocean.

Yoga and surfing are just such a fantastic combination in so many ways. Surfing is active and dynamic. There is quite a difference in yoga’s mindful movements and meditation practices. But then, there are a lot of similarities.

Going with the flow, tuning in, and listening to your body closely as you are being connected to the ocean. It’s the feeling of complete oneness, which requires you to be in tune with nature and your body.

Surfing is a “Yang” form of exercise, full of movement, rhythm, and repetition. Through this movement, your muscles expand and contract, growing stronger. But by this you are also limiting your bodies, you tend to lose your natural softness, becoming more inflexible and increasingly tight.

With all the paddling and repetitive takeoffs on a fun surf morning, you need the “Yin” in order to keep the flexibility and longevity in your body. So, if surfing is your “Yang”, let yoga be your “Yin”. The combination of surfing with Yin yoga gives you the balance your body needs to experience optimum health and happiness.

One way to think of balance is this: a total state of health that incorporates togetherness of body and mind. To be balanced is a way of being and a state of mind. Yin yoga can restore this balance and be the soothing balm to heal and rejuvenate the body, mind, and soul.

In the afternoon, you will explore an inner Yin yoga healing journey through the Taoist elements and learn about their energetic value and the chi meridian flow in your body.

When you awaken and align your body’s underlying energy, you activate your innate process of healing and transformation. Yin yoga will help you create profound shifts in your physical and emotional well-being.

The hosts will demystify how energy affects everything you do and feel and show you how to mindful work with your body and mind. These Yin yoga healing sessions will help you build vitality, unravel energetic blockages, and boost your immunity.

Alexandra Denkinger is an acupuncture therapist (M.D.Acu), yoga teacher (RYT500), Yin yoga expert, and founder of The Body-Mind-Soul Centre. She likes to see herself Body-Mind-Soul Bio-Hacker, an "urban shaman", dedicated to helping people empower themselves to live the most authentic, healthy life possible. As an all-time seeker on a soul-searching journey, she came across many different yoga styles and healing systems. In her Yin yoga teachings, she integrates the ancient wisdom of acupuncture meridians and chi flow in meditative yoga practice.
