Are you an intermediate dancer who loves movement and is looking to sharpen your skills while embarking on an adventure? Head to sun-soaked Alicante in southern Spain for a long weekend exploring swing dance and improv movement in a relaxed and beautiful setting. Some dance experience is recommended to maximize the benefits of this retreat, designed to hone your skills and move your body with daily dance classes and pilates sessions. When you're not moving, adventure to the harbor, walk along the palm-lined promenade, and through the historic old town, tasting your way through the delicious restaurants. Tune into the abundant nature as you're surrounded by fruit trees, mountainsides, sandy beaches, and the crystal clear sea.
Finca La Vina is a historic, luxurious villa echoing Mediterranean style. The house is situated in the heart of southern Spain's Costa Blanca just outside of Alicante. Located not far from the beach as well as mountain villages, Finca La Vina is enveloped by flourishing gardens and fruit and pine trees. From the olive press to the stone tower, enjoy historic details throughout the property. Relax in the swimming pool or on one of the sun-soaked terraces as you enjoy the sounds of birdsong.

This five-day retreat immerses you into the history, dance culture, and coast of Alicante, Spain. Upon arriving on Thursday, soak up the sun by the pool and unwind with a delicious, home-cooked meal. Start your morning with a pilates session and enjoy a daily dance class that will improve your swing dancing skills. During the day, you'll have the opportunity to relax on the beach, explore old town Alicante, taste local cuisine at phenomenal restaurants, and soak up the sun.
Holly started dancing at a young age and became a full-time dancer at age 16, practicing ballet, jazz, street dance, and contemporary. She fell in love with swing dance while dancing with the gypsy jazz band 'The Mandibles' in Bath. Holly eventually found herself back in London, where she taught and performed regularly. In 2015, she started Sugarpush Vintage Dance, while also offering classes and amateur swing dance training.
Romayne began dancing at a young age and went on to complete a BA in Contemporary Dance. She is a professional dancer working as a teacher, facilitator, and performer in the UK. Romayne offers dance classes in care homes, schools, and other environments working with people with additional needs. Her love of swing music inspired her love of swing dancing. Romayne now assists with classes and creating bespoke swing dance retreats with Sugarpush Vintage Dance.
