Release tension in the body through hatha yoga and gentle stretches, explore breathing techniques in a breathing workshop, find your inner quiet through silent walks in the village and along the beach.  The retreat takes place in the instructor, Bridget’s, private home, a traditional Norfolk stone house with a cosy lounge, an open fireplace, and a yoga room that receives the afternoon sun. The house has two private bedrooms that have been carefully decorated and offer plenty of natural light, along with a shared bathroom. There is a peaceful garden where meals can be shared in warm weather. Home-cooked, health-conscious vegetarian meals are provided throughout the retreat.

Program

Arrive Friday evening in time for a gentle yoga class and evening meal. Saturday starts with the “Breathe Better, Stress Less” workshop, followed by self-led mindfulness exercises on the beach and a picnic lunch. Take a rest before afternoon yoga and evening dinner around Bridget’s vibrant table, and then unwind around the fire. Sunday starts with an optional silent walk through the village before returning for a morning yoga class and final wrap-up. After brunch, spend time exploring beach or forest walks or enjoying the natural settings of the garden before tea and departure.

Bridget is a 250-hour certified yoga teacher with over 20 years of yoga practice and extensive experience in corporate training. A free diver and something of a breath geek, Bridget includes breathwork in all her retreats. She also likes to share her love for nature and food – especially Norfolk products – with her guests.
