Basubu says

As far as transformative retreats go, it doesn’t get much better than a day of deep healing and connection in the ocean. This water-inspired workshop takes beach day in Brighton to the next level with sea healing talks and guided meditation sessions. Yogis can dive into their practice with a SUP boarding lesson or ease into it from the comfort of the shore. Snacks and drinks are also available for purchase from the local café, but we doubt you’ll be thirsty after such a refreshing retreat!

A beautiful day dedicated to ocean healing and connecting with your inner mermaid/merman! Held at Hove Lagoon Watersports.

This workshop will deepen your connection with nature, the ocean and therefore yourself. Be prepared to have fun, and maybe get wet!

I have been in love with the ocean and in awe of her healing properties ever since I can remember, I want to share this with you in a fun, healing workshop dedicated to the sea and her beauty and magic. I want to share why I do what I do, and why I have dedicated my career to yoga, helping to heal people, promoting self-love, empowerment, and the sea.

Program

We will start the day with a SUP lesson then a SUP yoga lesson at Hove Lagoon Watersports. The lessons will take place on the sea water lagoon next to the beach at the center. We will then go to the beach. I will give a brief talk on how the ocean heals us, touching on history, science and spiritual philosophy. How we can use the energy of the ocean to heal. We will do a guided beach meditation, including some inspired by the sea to heal and cleanse. This will be followed by Sea dip (conditions depending and at your own risk). We will end with a social BYO picnic on the beach.

If it rains we will hang out and eat in the cafe instead or find some shelter. The SUP, SUP yoga and sea dip session can go ahead in rain, we provide wetsuits. The talk/meditations will be under shelter/indoors if it rains. We have changing rooms/hot showers and lockers. No non-swimmers unfortunately. Please let me know of any injuries/health conditions beforehand.

Please bring your own food or drink for the picnic or you can buy it from the Lagoon Watersports cafe.
