Press pause on the stresses of your daily life and reconnect to yourself and to nature during this long weekend yoga retreat in the Lake District. Deepen your yoga practice with twice-daily sessions exploring bodywork and breathwork, simultaneously strengthening and relaxing your body. Build the foundation for a balanced life through exploratory mindfulness and meditation practices. Get a taste of somatic work through an introductory workshop. Take in the stunning landscapes of the Lake District through wild swimming and forest bathing, drinking in the therapeutic rhythm of nature.

Program

The retreat is four nights and three days packed with yoga, meditation, and mindfulness activities among nature. Each day begins with a morning meditation followed by an energizing asana and breathwork practice. The afternoons are filled with workshops, excursions, and time to relax and pamper yourself with relaxation treatments. In the evening, unwind with a gentle practice of restorative and Yin yoga, as well as meditation and yoga Nidra.

 Ashlack Estate is an old manor farmhouse that has been converted into a beautiful retreat center in the countryside. The stunning stone home is rich in character and history. The expansive grounds are surrounded by mountains and farmlands with views over the Duddon Estuary. Relax in the sprawling gardens and outdoor dining spaces. Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL) or Manchester Airport (MAN). From Liverpool Airport, it's best to get around with a car or a train. There is a train straight from Manchester Airport to Ulverston town, which is a short taxi ride from the retreat center, otherwise by car.

Arrival by train

When visiting the Lake District, Tula Flow Yoga suggests that you come by car or getting a train to Ulverston or Oxenholme Station. They can assist in organizing taxis if needed.

Janine Behrendt
Janine
Janine began exploring yoga in 2008 for both the physical practice as well as to find a sense of calm. Since then, she has completed multiple teacher trainings around the world. Janine is now a 1200 hour certified yoga teacher, including trainings in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Jivamukti, and is currently pursuing certification as a breathwork facilitator. In her classes, Janine blends various styles of yoga to create a balanced experience.
