Deepen your understanding of yogic practices and traditions in the birthplace of yoga, partaking in twice daily yoga classes with views over the rhythmic ocean. Sink your toes into the warm sand, take a dip in the sea, nap beneath the shade of leafy palm trees, and wander through the colorful towns, markets, and historic forts surrounding Goa. Watch as the golden sun spills across the horizon and gaze up at the night sky, counting stars until your drift off into restful sleep.

Bamboo Yoga Retreat is moving to the beautiful quiet shores of Polem Beach in South Goa. There are individual, free-standing beach huts that can be shared or booked privately. The retreat center has a yoga shala with sea views, an open-air dining area, and plenty of cozy, shaded spots to unwind in throughout the day. Bamboo is simple and beautiful with bright, colorful Indian accents.

Program

The retreat takes place over a week, allowing participants to sink into a yoga routine and the rhythm of Goan life. Each morning begins with a Forrest yoga ceremony, inclusive of chanting, meditation, and a themed yogic practice. Much of the day is left free to walk along the beach, swim in the sea, explore the local area, or book additional therapy appointments. In the afternoon, a more restorative yoga practice is on offer that gives way into yoga Nidra around sunset.

Craig is an experienced teacher and practitioner of a variety of types of yoga and meditation. He enjoys bringing playful and positive elements to his classes that encourage his students to explore their practice and expand their limits. The focus of his teachings are to uplift and heal both the mind and body.
