These retreats offer body and soul a metaphorical hug! Accessible to all levels Neurogenic Yoga™ is a revolutionary technique in trauma healing and stress reduction.This practice combines yoga asana and pranayama with reactivation of the body’s natural, therapeutic shaking response. This shaking response in humans, much the same as the instinctual shaking in animals, is the nervous system’s way of discharging long-held tension and trauma, in order to restore the body to wholeness. Guided meditations, Candlelit Restorative Yoga and Therapeutic Yoga Nidra blend beautifully with this deeply nourishing practice.


You can dip your toe into the retreat, enjoying as much as feels right for you or you may choose to simply dive in. You are free to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful haven through walks over the stunning countryside on your own or with fellow wanderers. Or you might choose to meet yourself on a hill and be still.

Namaste Barn is a Yoga and Meditation Retreat centre. This beautiful breathing space is situated in the rolling hills of Devon close to the beautiful Dartmoor National Park. Take in the breathtaking views in every  direction. Spot the diverse wildlife including the wild deer, free to roam their home landscape. This is a place of deep tranquility and soothing energy. Namaste Barn has been updated with deep consideration for our plants resources.  Air Source heat pumps and and solar panels supply us with clean green energy for our central and under floor heating in the Yoga studio. We have beautiful pure UV filter bore hole water too.

Program

This weekend retreat combines yoga, meditation, nature therapy. Start the morning with cleansing kriyas, guided meditation, and breathwork. After breakfast, sink into an extended stress releasing neurogenic yoga class followed by yoga Nidra. Spend the afternoons exploring nature, going on a walk or exploring the art of forest bathing. The evenings bring restorative activities such as guided relaxation and fire ceremonies.

Jo Hamilton
Jo
Jo is an experienced  yoga teacher with advanced qualifications in Yoga Nidra and in "Relax and Renew" restorative yoga and Neurogenic Yoga. She is a holistic practitioner and certified advanced TRE® (Tension and Trauma Release Exercises) practitioner and mentor. Jo is also a certified Mindfulness Teacher trained to teach Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction at Bangor University. She is also an accredited advanced Level-3 EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) practitioner in Meridian Tapping Energy Psychology. 


Jo believes yoga is for everyone. The Yoga she shares is fitted to the reality of where you are now, both physically and emotionally. So whatever is going on for you Jo feels is the perfect moment to make space for this. The yoga she shares is gentle mindful accessible yoga. Her practice supports your body with kindness. Practicing in this way enables your body to feel safe and supported. When we feel safe our body relaxes and we let go of our tensions. 
 Jo will guide you to this place of ease.
