Join an experienced mountain leader and yoga teacher for the adventure of a lifetime, bringing you to the breathtaking landscapes of the Nepalese Himalayas. Spend nearly two weeks connecting with yourself and with new friends in the fresh air and peace of the mountains. Get a taste of culture and history throughout the experience from our Nepalese Mountain Guide and historic sites and adventure out for an eight-day trek to reach the mighty Mardi Himal Base Bamp. Walk through dreamy valleys, mountain villages, mossy forests, and high altitudes where yaks wander. Test your endurance as you trek higher, rewarded with sweeping views of the snow-capped Annapurna range as you continue. Find a meditation in the practice of hiking, being fully present in your surroundings. Opportunity to unwind after a long day's hike with impromptu afternoon yoga or warm tea around a fire. Breathtaking sunsets at High Camp (3,550m) over the surrounding valleys.

The venue changes each day, starting with comfortable guesthouses in Kathmandu and Pokhara for the first two nights and also the last two nights. Along the trek, each night will be at a different guesthouse in mountain villages. Accommodation is simple with rooms that can be shared or booked privately (additional 25% for private booking). The rooms are equipped with beds, bed sheet, pillow and duvet, but a sleeping bag is required as well. Homemade meals are served at each guesthouse.

Program

The trekking retreat extends over thirteen days, bringing you to a new location each day. Upon arrival, spend a night in Kathmandu before taking a bus to Pokhara the next morning, where you'll make last minute preparations for the trek. Over the next eight days, you will trek through mountain villages, to Poon Hill, through more villages, and eventually up to Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4,500m, before making your way back down to Siding. Each day, prepare to wake up early for an optional guided meditation followed by breakfast and then begin your hike. Arrive at your guesthouse by early afternoon and enjoy yoga before having dinner and resting. At the end, use your free day in Pokhara to explore or indulge in a much needed massage before heading back to Kathmandu for a final dinner in a historic part of the city.



Day 1:
Airport pick up to bring you to your comfortable accommodation, then all meet each other at a delish restaurant.



Day 2:
7am bus to Pokhara 6/7hrs, kit check, then buy any last minute stuff and last supper before our expedition.



Day 3:
Taxi to the start of the trek (1525m) then walk through charming villages before a steep ascent up steps to Ulleri (1940m). 5hrs



Day 4:
From Ulleri up through the beautiful Rhododendron forest to Ghorepani (2750m). 4hrs



Day 5:
Sunrise walk to Poon Hill (3210m) 1hr 15mins where you’ll get a panorama view on the Annapurnas then down for breakfast before setting off through majestic root embedded paths and past a waterfall descending down finishing with a climb of stairs up to Tadapani. 7hrs



Day 6:
From Tadapani down and up the valley through farms stopping at the infamous Chhromong Cottage for lunch along the way to Jhinu danda (1780m) 6hrs where you’ll relax in natures hot springs next to a river 20mins walk down the valley.



Day 7:
Up the valley from Jhinu to Landruck where we get a pack lunch and begin our steep ascent to Forest Camp (2500m)



Day 8:
Forest Camp to High Camp (3550m)  along the route you’ll enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the mountains as we get closer to the dramatic mountains.



Day 9:
Day hike to the view point (4500m) to see Fishtail up close and get jaw droppingly beautiful panoramic views.



Day 10:
High Camp to Siding (1700m) before we get our jeep back to Pokhara and enjoy a celebratory meal together



Day 11:
 Free day in Pokhara with lots of activates to choose from (although I predict you will want to be doing a relaxing whole lot of nothing to repair – a lovely massage may be just what you need)



Day 12:
7am bus back to Kathmandu. For our last evening we have dinner in Boudhanath which has one of the largest unique structure’s stupas in the world. Tibetan merchants have rested and offered prayers here for many centuries. When refugees entered Nepal from Tibet in the 1950s, many decided to live around Boudhanath. The Stupa is said to entomb the remains of Kassapa Buddha. We enjoy a cocktail and our final celebratory dinner together.



Day 13:
Breakfast in the hotel then adios on your flight home

Through her retreats, she works to provide her students with the tools to build confidence in themselves, manage stress and find balance.
