Are you seeking a greater sense of inner calm? Head to the wild, idyllic Scottish coast for a five day/four nights  retreat centered around mindfulness and self-compassion. Explore the many facets of mindfulness techniques through daily workshops and put these techniques to practice as you meditate to the sound of crashing waves and take mindful walks along rugged clifftops. Enhance your everyday well-being with simple practices that will allow you to manage your emotions more effectively and help cultivate self-kindness. Nourish your body with nourishing vegetarian meals and soothe your soul with abundant fresh air and time spent among nature.

Toadhall is set in a tranquil rural hamlet near Muchalls, just a short drive from Aberdeen and Stonehaven. The house has four rooms, including one studio. The other three rooms vary between shared and private accommodation, as well as shared and ensuite bathrooms. The house also has a garden, fireplace, and beautiful meditation room. The venue has easy access to nature trails along massive cliffs and to the crashing shores of the coast.

Program

This five-day retreat is centered around mindfulness while also allowing the opportunity to relax and unwind. Each day brings a mindfulness workshop, a beach meditation and a bedtime relaxation meditation.  There is plenty of free time to take walks along the cliff tops, strolls along the coast, or simply unwind, relax, and be in the present.

Angela witnessed the deep benefits that mindfulness had in her own life-- productivity, focus, reduced stress, and improved well-being-- and was inspired to pursue the path to mindfulness more deeply. After completing her training as a mindfulness teacher, she established a retreat center in Northeast Scotland. In addition to hosting retreats, Angela coaches mindfulness in the workplace classes and offers one-on-one mindfulness sessions.
