Activate your mind and body through invigorating and restorative yoga sessions with views over the rolling hills. Test your endurance during invigorating trail runs, filling your lungs with crisp, fresh air. Sink into the sounds of nature during free time, unwinding by the babbling river and giving yourself a full mind and body retreat.

Bala Brook is a charming, upgraded farmhouse on vividly green property. There are modern, chic features in the house and big windows that allow for ample natural light. The yoga studio has floor-to-ceilings that can be opened for fresh air during the summer, as well as heated floors for the winter. The house is set on land abundant with gardens and access to a river.

Program

Mornings begin with energizing yoga classes to stretch the body for the day. After breakfast, partake in a guided trail run and then spend time relaxing, reading, or exploring the expansive gardens. In the afternoon, choose between a second trail run or a restorative yoga therapy class. In the evenings, relax, read, and plan the following day's run.

Retreat opens

Arrive and bed in. Contact hosts if you would like to arrange transfers from local stations

Short, slow run (4-5 miles) as a group
7.30pm
Dinner Provided by caterers
Day 2
7am
Morning yoga class to energise, strengthen and stretch
8.30am
Breakfast (help yourself to their fully catered spread)
10am
4 to 8 mile run depending on ability, experiece and preference
12.30pm
Lunch provided by caterers. Chance to read, relax, or go for a walk in the 35 acre gardens
3pm
Afternoon yoga session. Yoga therapy to restore and balance body and mind. Or afternoon run of 4 to 6 miles on the moor.
6pm
Dinner
7pm
Chance to relax, read and plan tomorrow’s run. Your guides will offer a navigation workshop and route planning guidance to those who want it.
