Step away from the bustle of urban life and into an oasis of calm and healing right in the heart of London. This day retreat will give you a taster of all things yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda in a light-flooded, plant-filled studio in East London. Move your body mindfully with energizing vinyasa flow. Dive into the world of Ayurveda, learning how the ancient practice relates to your body type. Blend a soothing tea to uniquely compliment you and enjoy a plant-based lunch while you sip your warming tea. Find connection and healing during a group reiki session and self-love ritual. As the day comes to a close, find calm and release during a Yin yoga and meditation class followed by the melodic tunes of live music.

Soma Lab is an oasis situated in Stoke Newington, London that is an immersive space for yoga, movement, art, nutrition, and meditation. The light-flooded space has a beautiful studio for yoga fully equipped with yoga blocks and mats, as well as black-out curtains and aerial yoga equipment. There is a dining space and bathroom/shower in Soma as well.

Program

This day retreat is packed with mindfulness and movement activities, beginning at 9:30 in the morning and ending around 5 in the evening. Start the day with a vinyasa flow and meditation followed by an Ayurvedic workshop including tea-making. Take a break and nourish with a plant-based, Satvic lunch. In the afternoon, participate in a reiki and self-love ritual before unwinding with a Yin yoga, meditation, and live session to end the day.

Instructors

Laura Seddon
Laura
Laura fell in love with yoga while traveling in India and soon completed her yoga teacher training in India. She draws from elements of Ashtanga, Hatha, and restorative yoga in her classes, as well as incorporates meditation. Laura's passion for teaching yoga is driven by helping her students feel more connected and relaxed in their mind and body. 
Halana Palmer
Halana
Halana is a certified Ayurvedic therapist and practitioner who was brought up surrounded by natural healing. Inspired by her mother's work in alternative medicine, Halana eventually gravitated towards Ayurveda, inspired by how it is catered to each individual person. She explored the culture around Ayurveda in India and completed her training in London. 
Hunni Palmer
Hunni
Hunni is a vegan chef and reiki healer. She has a passion for healthy, nourishing meals and first started her training in India. Hunni eventually perfected her cooking skills at a vegan restaurant in London. She was also drawn to the healing practice of reiki and its ability to release blockages, and completed her course in the UK. Hunni puts love into each carefully crafted meals she creates as a cook and offers reiki healing sessions as well.
