Location
You will stay at the five-star Maya Resort in Sanur. Rooms are double occupancy with two beds (unless selected otherwise). If you don't have a roommate yet, you will be paired with one.

Food
You will consume a variety of Balinese food. Meals are provided every day, but you are free elsewhere if you wish. No pressure to be with the group the whole time. Some alcoholic drinks are provided on this tour, however you are responsible for paying for any additional drinks not included. Dietary requirements catered for: vegetarian, vegan, raw food, pescatarian, seafood, whole food, yogic. Other requirements available on request.

Program

Day 1: Selamat datang di Bali (welcome)
Welcome to the Land of the Gods. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by Amy and Brian Walker and a local guide to take you to the resort. Later that evening, you will have a celebratory welcome dinner while getting to get to know your new family for the next 9 days.

Day 2: Cookin and culture
Today, you’ll experience the taste and culture of Bali through Balinese food. Throughout the variety of spices, fresh vegetables, meats, and fish you will explore and learn tastes like no other. You will finish off the day exploring the historical Ubud Palace and Tirta Empul where you will have the chance to cleanse at the Holy Spring Temple. You’ll wrap up at the iconic Bali Swing for Instagram-worthy photos and breathtaking views that will blow you away.

Day 3: Monkey see Money do
Today, you’ll explore the sanctuary and natural habitat of the Balinese long-tailed monkey. You will spend the afternoon learning the history of the forest and even hang out with these cool creatures. The stunning views will create a sense of peace and harmony to the experience, while also exploring your inner child.

Later that afternoon, you will be pampered at a world-renowned spa, where you will receive several relaxing treatments, massages, and everything in between.

Day 4: Lush waters and cuisine
After breakfast, you’ll kick the adventure up a notch and speed boat to Sanur Beach where you will experience white sands and blue waters. You will enjoy the taste of authentic cuisines as you relax (or play) at the various beaches. Dinner reservations at the resort.

Day 5: Sea and fire
Today, you’ll sail along the waters in a glass boat. Later, you’ll explore the historical sites of the Uluwatu Temple, where you will defy gravity and dance with fire! Private romantic dinner reservations per couple.

Day 6: The world is your oyster
This is your day to relax and do whatever you want. Shop, island hop, or dine on delicious Balinese cuisines. Today is all about you!

Day 7: Let's hike a volcano
Early morning volcano hike. Pick up from local guide at 1:30 a.m. In the afternoon, the guide will pick you up for the following activity: Jimbaran beach seafood dinner.

Day 8: Sailing into the sunset
Morning Mindfulness Meditation Exercise led by Amy Walker, LCSW. Today is your last evening together. You will sail off at sunset on a dinner cruise to see the sights of Benoa Harbor. Let’s turn up and enjoy your last night together, reminiscing on all of the moments you’ve shared.

Day 9: Farewell
You depart Bali today but you know this adventure will remain in your heart forever. Continue to cherish the moments made and we’ll see you on your next journey with Walker Wellness Retreats!

Amy created Walker Wellness Retreats due to her passion for adventure, the outdoors, traveling, and helping others. Amy is a graduate from the University of Utah with her Master's Degree in International Social Work. She has worked as an international English teacher and has traveled to over 50 countries and counting. Amy has what some call a "sixth sense" for finding excellent travel deals and wanted to utilize that skill to create memorable experiences for others both domestically and internationally.
